The ice tunnel in Juvfonne

The highlight of the guided tour is the stunning ice tunnel in Juvfonne. This hand-carved tunnel, with ice sculptures designed by ice artist Peder Istad, draws inspiration from Norse mythology.

In the ice tunnel you will find, among other things, a huge diamond, a fascinating globe, a climate archive, Midgardsormen and a small cinema. The ice has been dated to be 7600 years old, making it the oldest ice recorded on mainland Norway.
