About the climate park

Klimapark 2469 is an outdoor discovery centre with focus on climate history, hunting and gathering, geology, and biology. Explore the area with a guide who will take you and your group on a journey through an exciting world of new experiences and insights. It is a trip designed to widen your knowledge of history, nature, and climate. The route across Juvflye, by the foot of the Galdhøpiggen mountain, is equipped with walkways and information displays.
At Juvfonne, by the end of the walkway, there is a tunnel 60 metres into the 6000-year-old ice. Design and lighting is by artist and sculptor Peder Istad, and the tunnel has been carved and shaped by hand.
