How to get to Klimapark 2469

Klimapark 2469 is an outdoor experience approximately 1850 meters above sea level.

The guided tour in Klimapark 2469 begins at the start of the installed pathway, just across the road from the Juvasshytta parking lot. The guide will meet you there.
The ice tunnel is only accessible with a guide.

 

The weather in the high mountains can change rapidly, it can even snow in July. We encourage all our visitors to check the weather forecast in advance to ensure a safe trip. For example, you can search for “Juvasshytta” on www.yr.no.

 

The road up to Klimapark 2469 is private and owned by Juvasshytta. The road has a toll fee, and you can pay for your passing at the parking lot at Juvasshytta. The drive will take about 45 minutes from Lom center to Juvasshytta, and you will drive the highest situated road in Norway.

Cars with caravans are not allowed on the road, but campervans are allowed.

By car

Find your way to Klimapark 2469 and the ice tunnel! From route 55 Sognefjellsvegen, follow signs for Juvasshytta – a mountain lodge located 19 km west of Lom centre. Toll road (tarmac).

When travelling by car, the trip from the centre of Lom to Juvasshytta will take some 45 minutes. The ice tunnel can only be accessed as part of the guided tours. Please see map below.

Please note that you cannot drive up with a towed caravan, but campervans are allowed.
